Cricket has no real presence in Slovenia. There is no domestic competition worth following, no regular television coverage, and no cultural memory of the sport of the kind that football, basketball, handball and ski jumping all enjoy here. Anyone browsing a betting board in Ljubljana will find cricket markets sitting alongside sports they actually watch, and for most of them that is where the interest should end.
The readers for whom it makes sense are specific: people who lived in India, Pakistan, Australia, England or South Africa and kept the habit; expatriates in Slovenia from cricketing countries; and the small number of enthusiasts who have taken the trouble to learn a genuinely complicated game. For that audience, the markets are extensive and the sport rewards knowledge unusually well. For everybody else, betting on cricket means paying a margin to guess at a game whose rules are unfamiliar.
The scheduling problem
Even for an interested viewer, following cricket from central Europe is inconvenient. Indian Premier League fixtures start in the late afternoon or evening in India, which lands in the middle of a Slovenian afternoon or evening depending on the season; Australian matches in the Big Bash begin in the middle of the Slovenian night. A Test match, meanwhile, unfolds over five days. None of this is fatal to an enthusiast, but it does mean that cricket betting from here tends to happen at the hours when judgement is weakest, and that is worth naming plainly.

The draw is itself a trap for newcomers: a Test match can finish with no winner, which is not how any of the sports followed here ordinarily behave. So is rain, since shortened matches are resolved with a recalculation method that decides results by formula.
The honest recommendation
If you follow cricket already, the markets are there and the deeper competitions are priced sharply enough to be worth study. If you do not, the sports that fill a Slovenian week are a better place to spend attention: football in the Prva liga Telemach and European competition, basketball in the ABA League and around a national side that won EuroBasket in 2017, plus handball, ski jumping and tennis. The usual legal position
